Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed
Sami Abdel-Sadiq, President of Cairo University, and the supervision of
Professor Dr. Manar Abdel-Maaz, Director of the Centre for Foreign Languages
and Specialized Translation at Cairo University, the centre announces the
organization of a special celebration on the occasion of International
Translation Day.
This celebration comes as part of supporting and enhancing the skills of young
translators, with a translation competition organized for individuals aged up
to 30 years. The competition is titled "Tales from Egyptian Folklore in
the Languages of the World," and aims to highlight Egyptian cultural
heritage by translating it into different languages.
The celebration will witness the announcement of the competition results and
the distribution of prizes to the winners, representing a valuable opportunity
for young translators to showcase their talents and interact with the
translation community.
